Transmit and Receive Solutions for Drones and UAVs
Pleora’s hardware and eBUS SDK provide a complete end-to-end interface solution for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) used in industrial, agricultural, and security applications.
In these systems, Pleora’s embedded interfaces, such as the NTx-NBT25, NTx-NBT50, and NTx-Deca, simplify the design of high-bandwidth GigE Vision imaging devices (including visible, IR, thermal, and SWIR) that integrate with small form factor onboard computing. Alternatively, Pleora’s external frame grabbers can convert existing imaging devices into GigE Vision-compliant solutions.
Pleora’s technology enables direct transmission from imaging devices to the Ethernet port on onboard computing for video capture. This reduces both power consumption and system footprint by eliminating the need for a PCIe frame grabber. Uncompressed video is streamed with low, consistent latency, along with control data and power, over a single cable. With Ethernet’s extended reach (up to 100 meters), processing components can be located anywhere within the UAV. The point-to-multipoint networking capabilities of GigE Vision also allow multiple cameras to be aggregated to a single port on the processing unit.
eBUS Receive streamlines the high-speed reception of image data into buffers for hand-off to recording systems. The eBUS Universal Pro driver reduces CPU usage when receiving images or data over single or multiple GigE Vision links operating at speeds from 1 to 10 Gbps and beyond. This frees up processing power for analysis and inspection, while helping meet the latency and throughput demands of real-time applications.
eBUS Receive also supports flexible video management, including streaming uncompressed video for onboard processing, analysis, and recording, as well as compressing video for wireless transmission to a remote operator.
