Additional Information:

The HD-Video IP Bridge is designed to carry HDV directly on an IP network without the need for a costly HD-MPEG-2 or HDV-encoder, and overcome the short range limits of Firewire cables. Both Unicast and Multicast IP transmissions are supported.

HDV over IP allows direct recording to an MPEG-2 Server – the most effective way of recording HDV material over long distances.

In addition to carrying HDV signals, the versatile HD-Video IP Bridge can also be used for real-time global transport of DVB-ASI signals over IP. This is ideal for broadcast quality digital video transport, video backhaul to cable Head End, video transport to satellite base stations, and more.

The HD-Video IP Bridge also allows an HDV signal on Firewire to be extracted and put on a DVB-ASI signal that is compatible with transmission gear, broadcast systems and most MPEG Decoders including the HD-Bridge DEC+ from Miranda.
