George Chamberlain

Mr. Chamberlain has been involved in the design of leading-edge communications, networking, and imaging products since the late 1980s. Since co-founding Pleora in 2000, he has grown the company from a focused R&D group to a leading global supplier of high-performance video connectivity solutions. He was a recipient of the 2006 Ottawa Business Journal Forty Under 40 Award. Mr. Chamberlain holds an Honours B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Waterloo, and a M.Eng. in Electronics from Carleton University. Both schools are in Ontario, Canada. He attended the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School in Boston, graduating in 2009.

Robert Lee

Mr. Lee brings to Pleora a proven track record of managing growth in successful businesses. His diverse business experience touches all aspects of the product lifecycle, from research and product development, through to marketing and sales, and after-sales customer and technical support. Prior to joining Pleora, Mr. Lee was a Vice President with the Security Solutions division of The Stanley Works, where he managed the development and delivery of radio frequency identification-based security systems for patients and residents in institutional healthcare environments. He was a recipient of the 2005 Ottawa Business Journal Forty Under 40 Award and holds an MSc in Engineering from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.

John Sao Miguel

Mr. Sao Miguel brings more than 20 years of corporate finance experience in public and private companies to his role at Pleora Technologies. Prior to joining Pleora, he was Chief Financial Officer for Diablo Technologies, PointShot Wireless, and Uplift Technologies, were he assisted these companies in securing venture capital investment and for VR Interactive Corporation, where he participated in taking this company public. As Chief Operating Officer of Jellett Biotek Limited, he secured the company’s first major round of venture capital. Mr, Sao Miguel holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics from Concordia University, Montreal, and an MBA from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada.

Chris Barrett

Mr. Barrett is a seasoned R&D manager and systems architect, with 15 years of experience in companies of all sizes. Before joining Pleora, he served as Systems Architect and Development Director at Gridpoint Systems, a start-up where he helped build a high-performance engineering team from scratch. He has also managed R&D teams at Ciena, Alcatel, and Nortel Networks, with a focus on IP/Ethernet networking on carrier-grade systems. Mr. Barrett has a number of patents pending in carrier Ethernet and other areas of telecom. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of New Brunswick.
