Remote Site Interconnect for Broadcast
Pleora's EtherCast ASI-to-IP gatways are perfectly suited for broadcast applications that transport DVB-ASI video from remote sites – such as small TV studios, security hot spots, traffic observation points, and weather stations – to central locations, such as TV production facilities, network play-out centers, satellite earth stations and surveillance/security offices.
With the EtherCast ASI-Pro, broadcasters and video service providers can reap the benefits of low-cost IP connectivity while preserving their existing investment in MPEG encoders and decoders.

For truly remote sites, where basic Ethernet services aren’t available, the ASI-Pro can be used in conjunction with low-cost wireless IP transmission systems. These systems are a relatively new and inexpensive way to set up point-to-point IP connections between two sites. In some cases, the wireless option might be easier and cheaper than accessing readily available wired IP services. It all depends on the location.

Pleora's EtherCast™ Video IP Engines serve as the hardware core of IP-based video-over-IP solutions.
